B&G Step Sister Crossroads Cutaway Humbucker Quilted Maple Wolf Burst Electric Guitar

The Step Sister represents B&G's second electric guitar model, sharing the traditional Golden Era craftsmanship DNA of its Little Sister sibling while carving out its own distinct sonic territory. Originally exclusive to Private Build custom orders, this instrument now makes its debut in the accessible Crossroads series format, bringing premium construction within reach of more players.

Built from carefully selected solid tonewoods including African mahogany body and neck, katalox fingerboard, and solid maple top, the Crossroads version maintains the familiar aesthetic and tonal characteristics of its Private Build counterpart through quality factory‐made brass hardware. The shortened body shape joins the neck at the 16th fret, with the fingerboard extending to 22 frets and a reshaped neck heel that provides uncompromised access to every position.

This nimble design creates unique tonal possibilities through the extended fingerboard length, positioning the neck pickup slightly closer to the bridge compared to the Little Sister. The result is a brighter, more defined neck pickup tone that produces a beautiful hollow quality when combined with the bridge pickup. The instrument comes equipped with B&G's Crossroads humbucking pickups and remains fully compatible with Private Build hand‐wound pickups and solid brass bridge components for future upgrades.
