The microphone incorporates a 14 mm gold vapour diaphragm and an acoustically ported steel mesh grille with multi-stage pop filter, ensuring clear vocal reproduction even in challenging live conditions.

The VX5 handles extremely high sound pressure levels, managing SPLs in excess of 140 dB when the -10 dB pad and bass roll-off filter are engaged. Beyond vocal applications, this supercardioid microphone captures guitars, woodwinds, brass instruments, percussion, drum overheads, hi-hats, and pianos with professional precision.
