This cardioid microphone features advanced VLM™ diaphragm technology that ensures natural, accurate sound reproduction across its 30 Hz to 15 kHz frequency range. The D6's transformerless design provides low impedance and balanced output, guaranteeing interference-free performance in any recording or live sound environment.

The microphone excels at capturing kick drums, large toms, and bass cabinets with exceptional clarity and extended low-frequency response. Its cardioid pickup pattern provides excellent isolation and feedback control, making it ideal for stage, studio, and broadcast applications. With a maximum SPL handling of 144 dB and over 20 dB of off-axis rejection, the D6 maintains pristine audio quality even in high-volume situations.

Constructed from machined aluminium with a durable black finish, this lightweight and compact microphone weighs just 254 grams and measures 117mm in length for easy positioning. Each D6 comes complete with a DCLIP microphone clip and P1 carrying pouch, and is designed, machined, assembled, and tested by Audix in the USA. The microphone requires no external power and connects via standard 3-pin XLR with positive pressure on the diaphragm producing positive voltage on pin 2 relative to pin 3.
