Professional audio demands precision, and the ES905CL wide-range condenser microphone rises to meet the most challenging sound reinforcement and recording applications. This cardioid polar pattern microphone features a rigid-pipe design with ball-in-socket base that allows flexible positioning whilst maintaining a clean, professional appearance. The unit operates on 11V to 52V phantom power and incorporates UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology for exceptional radio frequency interference rejection.
The standard cardioid pickup pattern offers a 120° angle of acceptance, though interchangeable elements are available for omnidirectional (360°) and hypercardioid (100°) applications. A permanently attached 2.9m miniature cable connects to the included AT8538 power module via a specialised TA3F-type connector optimised for RFI immunity, with the power module outputting through a standard 3-pin XLRM connector.
Sound shaping capabilities include a recessed switch on the power module that selects between flat response or low-frequency roll-off using an integral 80Hz high-pass UniSteep® filter to control unwanted ambient noise. The complete package includes the power module and table-mounting hardware for the microphone’s isolation base plate, all housed in a rugged black finish enclosure designed for professional durability.
