The included AT8491W woodwind mount works seamlessly with the robust AT8490 5″ gooseneck, creating a secure attachment that maintains its position regardless of instrument movement during performance. The flexible gooseneck design eliminates unwanted repositioning, allowing musicians to focus entirely on their playing without microphone placement concerns.

Sound isolation comes courtesy of the microphone's cardioid polar pattern, which effectively reduces unwanted side and rear audio pickup to focus purely on the instrument. The in-line power module features a switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter, providing additional control over low-frequency noise that can interfere with clean recordings or live sound.
