Arturia MiniFreak 49 Polyphonic Synthesizer w/ Full-Size Keys

A 49-note full-size semi-weighted keybed brings expanded playability and expression to Arturia's hybrid synthesis platform, pairing dual digital sound engines with polyphonic analogue state-variable filters across six voices. The XYZ touch matrix adds a new dimension of control beyond the original MiniFreak, offering visual feedback and multi-dimensional modulation assignment that responds to pressure and position. This polyphonic synthesiser combines more than 30 oscillator modes spanning virtual analogue, FM, wavetable, granular, sample-based, and physical modelling synthesis, with Engine 2 capable of processing Engine 1 for complex layered textures.

The analogue filters feature audio-rate Filter FM for metallic timbres and evolving harmonics, while three stereo effects slots provide 13 algorithms including vocoder processing. A 64-step sequencer offers automation lanes, ratchets, octave jumps, and Spice & Dice functions for controlled randomisation. Voice panning spreads polyphony across the stereo field, and mono aftertouch responds to keybed pressure for dynamic modulation. The included MiniFreak V software mirrors the hardware panel for bidirectional control and preset management within any DAW environment.

Both studio and stage applications benefit from extensive connectivity and hands-on control layout designed around immediate sound editing. The arpeggiator includes pattern generation with harmonic and rhythmic variation. Velocity sensitivity shapes attack and timbre response across all six voices. Start with familiar subtractive patches or dive into granular and sample manipulation, with the touch matrix providing real-time visual representation of modulation routing and parameter movement as sounds evolve.
