Allen & Heath has reimagined their iconic Qu digital mixer with groundbreaking 96 kHz XCVI core technology and comprehensive hardware enhancements. The new Qu maintains the beloved design and form factor that made the original series so popular, while introducing significant improvements including updated microphone preamps, high-performance AD/DA converters, and individual channel displays with chromatic metering. A redesigned touchscreen interface accommodates four fully customisable layers and increased channel count with completely flexible patching options.
Building on the original Qu’s reputation for intuitive “walk up and mix” operation, this new generation adds sophisticated workflow features without compromising ease of use. Engineers can now access more assignable SoftKeys for streamlined operation, flexible routing options beyond the classic 1:1 Qu routing, and a fast, responsive user interface that maintains the series’ appeal to professionals transitioning from analogue consoles.
The mixer now supports DEEP Processing capabilities, bringing acclaimed add-ons from Allen & Heath’s flagship dLive system to the Qu platform for the first time. Additionally, Feedback and Gain Assistants borrowed from the CQ series help streamline setup and soundcheck processes. The intelligent Feedback Assistant automatically identifies and removes problematic frequencies using up to 16 filters per output, allowing engineers to mix with confidence and focus on their craft rather than technical concerns.
