AKG D5S Dynamic Supercardioid Microphone with Switch

Cut through the loudest stages with crystal-clear vocal presence that never gets lost in the mix. The D5 professional dynamic vocal microphone brings exceptional sound quality to lead and backing vocals, featuring a frequency-independent supercardioid polar pattern that maximises gain before feedback occurs. This switched version includes a convenient on/off function, giving you complete control over when the microphone is active during your performance.

Built around AKG's patented laminated Varimotion™ diaphragm technology, the D5 produces crisp, articulate sound that sits perfectly in any mix. The supercardioid pickup pattern provides outstanding feedback suppression, making it ideal for use with stage monitors, while the dual shock mount system completely eliminates handling noise and mechanical interference during live performances.

Professional reliability comes standard with the D5's robust construction and thoughtful design features. An integrated pop filter removes unwanted plosives and wind noise, whilst the spring-steel wire-mesh grille and rugged die-cast housing are engineered to withstand the demands of regular live use. Your audience will experience the pristine, uncoloured sound of your voice, performance after performance.
