AKG D40 Professional Dynamic Instrument Mic

Built like a tank and engineered for perfection, the D40 professional instrumental microphone combines uncompromising durability with cutting-edge acoustic technology. Its solid all-metal construction ensures this microphone will handle the rigours of constant stage use, night after night, whilst maintaining exceptional performance standards.

At the heart of the D40 lies the patented Varimotion diaphragm, featuring a unique laminated material that effectively dampens high resonance peaks for superior audio quality. This dual-thickness design produces crisp, powerful sound across all frequency ranges, whilst the robust wire-mesh cap protects the transducer from damage. The microphone excels in extreme conditions, handling sound pressure levels up to 156dB without any distortion.

The cardioid polar pattern makes the D40 ideal for crowded stage environments where feedback rejection is crucial. An integrated stand adapter works seamlessly with the included H440 mounting bracket, providing versatile positioning options for drums, percussion, wind instruments, and guitar amplifiers. This professional-grade microphone represents excellent value for musicians and sound engineers who demand reliability and exceptional audio performance.
