Akai Force Standalone Music Production/DJ Performance System

FORCE stands as the complete standalone music production powerhouse that eliminates the need for computers whilst providing every tool required for creating, remixing, and performing live. This singular device fuses clip-launching capabilities with a linear arranger, MIDI Multi functionality, step sequencing, sampling, and multiple synth engines, all controlled through a stunning 7-inch full-colour capacitive multi-touch display. The heart of the FORCE experience centres around its intuitive touchscreen interface, allowing users to launch clips, browse sounds, edit MIDI data, manipulate samples, arrange compositions, and sculpt synth sounds with remarkable ease.

The tactile control surface features an expandable 8x8 clip launch matrix with RGB LEDs for triggering scenes and clips, complemented by 360-degree rotary encoders with OLED feedback that provide immediate access to all core controls and assignable parameters. Connectivity options are comprehensive, including two XLR/¼-inch combo inputs with phantom power, dual stereo outputs, headphone cue bus, four independent CV/Gate outputs, and full MIDI In/Out/Through ports. Storage flexibility comes via USB thumb drive and SD card support, plus an expandable SATA drive bay for increased capacity.

From initial inspiration through to final mixdown, FORCE accommodates multiple track types including Plugin Tracks, Audio Tracks, Keygroup Tracks, MIDI tracks, and CV tracks, all enhanced by dozens of processors and effects from the AIR FX suite. The device comes preloaded with over 10GB of premium content from industry-leading providers like SampleTools by CR2, MSX Audio, and Sample Magic, featuring 248 kits, 16 demo projects, 2,500+ loops, and 500+ patterns. Built-in Splice integration provides Wi-Fi access to millions of royalty-free samples directly from the touchscreen interface.

For live performance and DJ applications, FORCE excels as either a feature-rich side-cart or standalone centrepiece, offering real-time time-stretching, pitch-shifting, and tactile XYFX control. The system includes seamless Ableton Live integration with clip launching and mixer control over Wi-Fi via Ableton Link, plus the ability to import complete Ableton projects for truly computer-free operation. Recent updates have added three new plug-in instruments, seven insert effects, the AIR vocal suite, and disk streaming capabilities from external storage devices.
