Yamaha DXS15MK3 15" Powered Subwoofer (Black)

Yamaha's DXS15mk3 occupies the middle ground in the current DXS powered subwoofer range, engineered to deliver extended low-end without bloat or cabinet resonance. The design combines proprietary high-durability transducers with redesigned high-efficiency Class-D amplification and a purpose-built bandpass enclosure that keeps unwanted colouration out of the mix. This generation pairs especially well with DXR mk3 series speakers, enabling tight, cohesive full-range systems for touring and installed applications.

The heart of the unit is a 15" cone driver mated to a 3" voice coil, backed by a newly developed 2500 W Class-D amplifier capable of producing 133 dB SPL at maximum output. Frequency response extends down to 35 Hz via the built-in D-XSUB processing, while flexible X-OVER DSP settings allow fine-tuning to match room acoustics and adjacent cabinets. Cardioid bass management mode keeps stage–focused reinforcement tight and prevents feedback hotspots. The plywood enclosure is acoustically optimised for clarity across the sub's working range, and dual M20 and Ø35 mm pole sockets enable secure rigging in either fixed or touring configurations.

Mobility and protection options broaden the subwoofer's versatility across venues and setup types. Optional speaker wheels (SPW-1) simplify transport and repositioning on hard floors, while a dedicated speaker cover (SPCVR-DXS153) safeguards the cabinet during storage and transit. These accessories make the DXS15mk3 practical for musicians and sound technicians who move systems regularly between rehearsal spaces, small venues, and outdoor gigs.
