The Yamaha DXR15mk3 is a 2–way bi–amped powered loudspeaker engineered to deliver the deepest frequency response in its series alongside impressive output clarity. Built around a 15" low–frequency driver paired with a 1.75" high–frequency unit, it reaches 134 dB SPL and excels as a front–of–house solution for live events and performances where substantial low–end presence defines the mix.
A newly developed 2000W Class–D amplifier powers the cabinet, whilst FIR–X™ tuning applies corrective EQ and FIR filtering to minimise phase distortion. Drive Motion Calibration™ refines the motion of the LF driver for linear bass reproduction and extended reliability. The large–diameter horn secures directivity control across a wide frequency spectrum, while optimised port positioning suppresses standing wave artefacts. The lightweight, form–injection moulded enclosure combines asymmetrical geometry with functional rigour. Dual–angle pole sockets permit 0° or –7° downtilt orientation, and rigging points accommodate eyebolt suspension for touring applications.
DSP modes are tailored to specific deployment scenarios; the FOH/MAIN and MONITOR presets include an automatic "AUTO V/H POSITION" setting function for rapid gain staging. Remote control via iOS or Android through the dedicated D–Remote app grants real–time parameter adjustment from the venue floor. An intelligent feedback suppressor automatically eliminates problematic resonances, whilst Bluetooth® audio streaming adds flexibility for click–track playback or wireless cueing. Optional speaker cover and mounting brackets extend the rig's versatility across studio, touring, and outdoor deployment scenarios.
