Yamaha's CXS12mk3 represents the most portable iteration in their current passive subwoofer lineup, engineered to reproduce deep, articulate bass that defies its compact footprint. The design leverages proprietary high-durability transducers paired with a carefully tuned bandpass enclosure that suppresses unwanted cabinet colouration. For tracking studios, live rigs, and mixing environments where space comes at a premium, this 12-inch driver delivers the low-end extension typically associated with larger systems.

The core driver features a 12-inch cone mated to a 3-inch voice coil, mounted in a plywood cabinet that's both acoustically optimised and built to withstand road use. Dual pole sockets accommodate standard M20 and Ø35 millimetre speaker mounting hardware, enabling flexible placement within existing PA configurations. When paired with Yamaha's CXR mk3 series loudspeakers, the CXS12mk3 integrates seamlessly into a cohesive full-range system. Optional Speaker Wheels (SPW-1) and a dedicated Speaker Cover (SPCVR-DXS123) are available for enhanced portability and protection during transport.
