The Iridium Keyboard from Waldorf delivers 16–voice polyphony across three distinct synthesis engines in a desktop synth with a 49–key Fatar TP/8SK semi–weighted keybed. Each voice runs particle synthesis, wavetable synthesis, or resonator modelling simultaneously, all powered by dedicated DSP architecture. The aluminium chassis houses a comprehensive control surface with endless encoders, an OLED display, and direct tactile access to every synthesis parameter without menu diving.
Each synthesis layer offers independent filter sections with analogue–modelled lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and comb topologies, plus dual LFOs and five envelope generators per voice. Onboard effects include reverb, delay, chorus, phaser, and distortion algorithms processed in parallel chains. Connectivity includes stereo line outputs on balanced TRS, MIDI In/Out/Thru on 5–pin DIN, and USB for bidirectional MIDI and audio streaming at 24–bit/48kHz. The synth stores 1,000 preset slots with 128 factory sounds covering bass, leads, pads, and textural patches.
