Electro-Voice ZLX G2 12 Inch Powered Portable Loudspeaker

The ZLX G2 series represents the evolution of over one million units sold worldwide, delivering professional-grade audio performance that has redefined what's possible at an accessible price point. Building upon the legendary success of the original ZLX series launched in 2013, this second-generation lineup introduces 8", 12", and 15" two-way models available in both powered and passive configurations. The series maintains the lightweight yet robust construction that made its predecessor an industry benchmark whilst incorporating significant upgrades in maximum SPL output, frequency response, and connectivity options.

Audio performance receives a substantial boost with the ZLX G2, achieving maximum SPL levels up to 129 dB in the ZLX-15P-G2 model. Each speaker features premium components including woofers and compression drivers coupled to Electro-Voice's patented SST (Signal Synchronised Transducers) ported waveguide technology. This design enhances low-frequency extension and ensures consistent vertical and horizontal coverage across all frequencies whilst maintaining a compact form factor that's perfect for portable applications.

Powered models showcase "Powered by Dynacord" electronics, featuring ultra-efficient 1000W Class-D amplification and an integrated four-channel, three-input digital mixer with professional effects processing. The mixer includes dual XLR/TRS combo inputs with 24V phantom power, plus advanced features such as AFS (automatic feedback suppression), ducking, compression, and loudspeaker delay settings. Five system modes cater to different applications: Music, Live, Speech, Club, and the new FRFR (full range, flat response) setting designed specifically for modelling processors and guitar cabinet simulators.

Modern connectivity options include Bluetooth® wireless stereo streaming and comprehensive control via the Electro-Voice QuickSmart Mobile app for iOS and Android devices. Users can pair and group up to six compatible Electro-Voice portable loudspeakers in any combination, whilst the intuitive single-knob encoder with full-colour LCD display enables quick local configuration. These connectivity features, combined with Electro-Voice-specific subwoofer presets for optimal acoustic performance, make the ZLX G2 series an exceptional choice for musicians, venues, and audio professionals seeking reliable, high-quality sound reinforcement.
